Jim Hoffman is the Managing Broker for Greenwich Connecticut Properties, LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Jim’s real estate experience started 26 years ago after a naval career retiring at the rank of captain. He served under the Reagan Administration as a naval attache for the White House and was responsible for nuclear code management.   Jim also served at the Pentagon for naval intelligence programs.

After leaving Naval Service, Jim worked for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a certified commercial and review real estate appraiser and then received his real estate licensed in Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut, New York and the District of Columbia.

Jim has been a licensed agent for Coldwell Banker and William Raveis before founding Greenwich Connecticut Properties, LLC.

Jim was appointed by the Governor of Connecticut to several boards and commissions including Commissioner, Connecticut Real Estate Commission for seven years, Connecticut Department of Veteran Affairs. Jim was elected Chairman of the Board of the Greenwich YMCA and the RTM and has served as board member of the Audubon Society.

He is an avid sailor and has competed on several Bermuda races and Trans-Atlantic cruises.

Jim believes that his experience in working with buyers and sellers has always been based on trust and an expectation of providing the necessary support, knowledge and experience accumulated over many years.

Jim’s educational background include the United States Naval Academy, Georgetown University and Brown University Master degree programs.
